Size guide

Start with how you'll use it: the bigger the board, the easier the pieces are to pick up.
Gold and silver magnetic chessboard on an oak table

A folding magnetic set with larger pieces

Magnetic pieces larger than most travel sets: up to 8.1 cm for the king on the 36 cm model. Made of high-impact HIPS plastic in gold and silver, they hold on the folding board, and flannel protection prevents scratches.

For a sturdy, easy-to-clean magnetic set with pieces large enough to see the position clearly. For children from 6 as well as adults: the 25 cm goes travelling, the 36 cm makes a proper set for the living room.

Compare with our other magnetic chess sets and our travel chess sets.

Care

Wipe the board and pieces with a soft cloth, slightly damp if needed, then dry them. Keep them away from heat and store the pieces inside the folded board so none go missing.

I really liked the chess set. The only problem was the very long delivery time, but maybe that was due to the weather 🤔. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

The pieces are golden/silver instead o white/black. it is a bit confusing. but it is a good chess set regardless.
